Airwallex account opening is 100% online, meaning that the director is not required to visit Hong Kong or any of their local offices physically. Supporting documents such as invoices, contracts, and other agreements may be required for KYC purposes.
 

 

FYI: Airwallex works with a global network of major banking partners to provide these services. In Hong Kong, Airwallex's bank partner is Standard Chartered Bank ("SCB"). When you provide your Airwallex account details for a third party to make a transfer, you are effectively providing an SCB account number. However, the key difference in using the Airwallex platform is that you will not be able to use SCB branch or ATM services, as your relationship is with Airwallex directly.
